Our Approach

At ASHA, our teaching program is built on scientific, evidence-based methods designed to support the individual learning needs of children with autism in the age group of 3 to 25 years. We use structured approaches with a mix of principles of ABA, TEACCH and PECS, along with other proven strategies, to create a personalised, nurturing and effective learning environment.

Each classroom maintains a 2:1 student–teacher ratio, ensuring that every child receives focused attention and guidance. In addition to individual learning, children participate in group sessions and circle time to help them build communication, social, and emotional skills in a supportive environment.

With a dedicated team of 44 special educators and teachers, each child is supported in a way that helps them reach their full potential.

Child Services

Specialized programs tailored to support every stage of development

Assessments

We provide autism screening, psychoeducational assessments, as well as adaptive behaviour, speech and motor skills assessments.

Early Intervention

Our Early Intervention program is a unique mother–child initiative designed for children aged 2–6 years with any form of disability.

Clinical and Behaviour Services

We offer integrated clinical and behavioural support to address the physical health, mental wellbeing, and behavioural needs of children and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Day School Education

A full-day special education program using evidence-based teaching methods with a 2:1 student-teacher ratio for personalized attention.

Assisted Living Training

Our Assisted Living Training program supports older students in developing the skills needed to live and function as independently as possible.

Vocational Skills Training

ASHA provides vocational skills training for individuals above 18 years of age, with a focus on building employable skills and meaningful work habits.

Family Services

Supporting families with resources, training, and respite care

Counselling

Raising a child with special needs can be emotionally and physically demanding. Recognising this, we offer counselling services to support families.

Parent Training

Comprehensive training programs to empower parents with strategies and techniques to support their child's development at home.

Respite Care

Families often find it difficult to leave their child alone when they need to attend to an emergency or take a short break from continuous caregiving.

Mothers' Self Help Group

In 2023, with the support of ASHA, a dedicated group of mothers came together to form a Mothers' Self Help Group, with the shared vision of creating a sustainable and secure future for their children.

Community Services

Building awareness and capacity in the wider community

Autism Awareness and Sensitization

To promote a more inclusive and informed society, ASHA conducts regular autism awareness and sensitisation programmes for schools, colleges, and corporate organisations.
